Nelson Bay Restaurants

I recently visited Nelson Bay and was looking for a great Indian Restaurant.
After looking at different styles of restaurants I found Taj Tandoori in the Heart Of  Nelson Bay at 19 Donald St Nelson Bay.
I was amazed at the Indian Cuisine. Harry the owner came out to talk to us after the meal and told us he has a Northern Indian touch to his menu. This basically means he uses more spices and seasonings to flavour his food rather then only relying on heat. As you know many Indian foods are so hot they are hard to eat. Harry went onto say he has hot dishes though his favorites are the ones that have more spices and more delicate tastes.





Eg of dishes are

• Prawn Masala

Prawns cooked in a freshly ground spiced masala

• Prawn Malabar (Mild)

Prawns cooked in cream, peas, capsicum sauce & coconut milk

• Channa Masala

Chick pea cooked in onion & tomato based sauce

Along with all the traditional Lamb, Beef, Chicken dishes.

Taj Tandoori also has an earthen Tandoor. A taste sensation not to be missed.
